This weekend, President Trump issued an executive order to address water supply issues in California and improve disaster response in California and North Carolina. House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Bruce Westerman (R-Ark.) issued the following statement in response: "My prayers go out to all those affected by natural disasters in California, North Carolina and in many other areas of the country. President Trump has taken meaningful action to keep his promises, and his executive order to increase water deliveries in California is one more example. Under his leadership, important issues like these are raised to the forefront. Working together, Congress and the Trump administration can enact meaningful policies to increase access to our natural resources and prevent tragedies like those in Southern California and North Carolina from occurring in the future."
