Today, the House Committee on Natural Resources passed bills including H.R. 5655 (Rep. Andy Barr, R-Ky.), H.R. 5317 (Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler, R-Wash.), H.R. 2591 (Rep. Austin Scott, R-Ga.), H.R. 221 (Rep. Don Young, R-Alaska), H.R. 4032 (Rep. Tom O’Halleran, D-Ariz.), and H.R. 4689 (Rep. Adrian Smith, R-Neb.).

“Today’s markup brings us another step forward in being better stewards of our natural resources and restoring local input in land management decisions. I look forward to working with Majority Leader Kevin McCarthy in bringing these bills to the House floor for a vote,” Chairman Rob Bishop (R-Utah) said.

H.R. 5655, the Camp Nelson Heritage National Monument Act, establishes the Camp Nelson Heritage National Monument in the State of Kentucky as a unit of the National Park System.

H.R. 5317 repeals section 2141 of the Revised Statutes to remove the prohibition on certain alcohol manufacturing on Indian lands.

H.R. 2591, the Modernizing the Pittman-Robertson Fund for Tomorrow's Needs Act of 2017, amends the Pittman-Robertson Wildlife Restoration Act to modernize the funding of wildlife conservation.

H.R. 221 reauthorizes the Hydrographic Services Improvement Act of 1998.

H.R. 4032, the Gila River Indian Community Federal Rights-of-Way, Easements and Boundary Clarification Act, confirms undocumented Federal rights-of-way or easements on the Gila River Indian Reservation, clarifies the northern boundary of the Gila River Indian Community's Reservation, and takes certain land located in Maricopa County and Pinal County, Arizona, into trust for the benefit of the Gila River Indian Community.

H.R. 4689 authorizes early repayment of obligations to the Bureau of Reclamation within the Northport Irrigation District in the State of Nebraska.
