House Committee on Natural Resources Chairman Rob Bishop (R-UT) today announced Parish Braden has been named Deputy Staff Director for the Committee, following Todd Ungerecht, who is retiring from the Committee, and the hiring of Kristina Baum as Communications Director. Baum officially joins the Committee on March 20, 2018.

In this new role, his vision and management talents will continue to be a critical asset to the Committee. Kristina brings a wealth of experience and a record of success driving environment and energy legislation in both the House and Senate. Parish Braden – Deputy Staff Director

Parish Braden, formerly the Committee's communication's director since 2015, has over a decade of experience on Capitol Hill. Prior to the Committee, he served as policy advisor and communications director to Rep. Glenn Thompson (R-PA) and legislative aide to former Rep. Wayne Gilchrest (R-MD). He also worked for the Republican National Committee as regional press secretary during the 2010 cycle. 

Kristina Baum – Communications Director

Kristina Baum joins the Committee from Chevron Phillips Chemical where she served as the company's chief spokesperson. Her prior Capitol Hill experience includes serving as communications director for the House Science, Space, and Technology Committee and press secretary for the Senate Environment and Public Works Committee. She’s also worked as a journalist with RTTNews and an Account Executive with DCI Group.
