As you know, the House Committee on Natural Resources ("Committee") is conducting oversight on issues surrounding your March 16, 2012 Memorandum ("Memorandum") to the Power Marketing Administrations.
In an October 11, 2012 letter the Department of Energy ("Department") was asked to produce several categories of documents and communications related to the issuance of the Memorandum. It is disappointing that the response submitted by the Department consisted of mostly publicly available information and does not fully respond to the requested information requests.
The response provided by the Department on November 21, 2012 acknowledged that it was only an "initial set" of responsive documents, however more than three months have passed and no additional information has been provided. Specifically, the Department has not provided internal email communications discussing the Memorandum, communications between Ms. Lauren Azar and the Joint Outreach Team, and the economic analysis used to understand the effects of the Memorandum.
